Blood, Gauze and Triage

Hello Everyone,

      I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! On our last post we mentioned that we were attending the Mock Disaster Training in Alpine, which was last Saturday from 9am to 3pm at the Mountanville Academy Charter School. We had the opportunity to place our booth between Daily Bread and Emergency Essentials. What a friendly crowd! We had the chance to mingle and watch as the three "disasters" took place around the school and watch about a hundred or more volunteers play dozens of different roles. We saw CERT members, EMT's, police officers and plenty of injured victims. Our favorite disaster was in the school's gym, where the mock earthquake took place. The atmosphere was enhanced by the scattered debris, the "injured" volunteers, and the fake body parts littered all over the floor. During all of these fun "disasters", we were able to watch how the CERT team took charge of the situation and managed the medical triage teams.

      During the lunch break we had visitors at our booth that played plinko, learned about our app and entered to win an ultimate emergency preparedness backpack! We enjoyed showing everyone what Servpro is about, and look forward to next year's Mock Disaster.

Mock Disaster Event

Hello everyone, 

Here is something many of you may not know, September and Servpro have a lot in common. Besides the obvious green and orange colors, we both love emergency preparedness! September is Emergency Preparedness month and we love it! Emergency preparedness is one of the many things we like to do! So on that note here is a flyer that we put together today that will be handed out at the Lehi City Mass Mock Disaster Event. Saturday September 22, 2012. The event will take place from 10:00am to 3:00pm. If you are there and see our neon green booth and orange banners come say hi and get some free stuff!
